norwegian girl - norwegian boy was created for horten annualen, an exhibition in norway as an outcome of a short artist residency in the telemark region. the two kinds of cans of the “Leverpostei”, that can be found in every norwegian supermarket, served as an inspiration for a small interactive installation. the pastee as mashed meat was used as a modelling mass to play with the stereotypical representations of a blonde girl and a blonde boy, shown on the cans. in response to the clear image of a norwegian girl and a norwegian boy a vulva and a penis were modelled from the meat mass to be remodelled and adjusted by visitors using transparent one way gloves. meaty genitals for discussion.
